Well... Christmas is just around the corner. I think this is a perfect time for me to talk about my own traditions that I do for the most wonderful time of the year. Specifically my Christmas tree traditions. Ever since my little sister was born in 2015, that Christmas tree tradition has altered a little bit. Before she was born, we only had one Christmas tree located in the living room. It had colored Christmas lights, an angel on top that changed wing colors every so often, and the ornaments were all unique, fragile, and personal to the family. When Christmas actually comes, the presents were under the tree. Now, we have 2 trees. There still is one in the living room, but that one is much more different. It now has white lights, a star on top, and the ornaments are all made of plastic and were all common things like candy canes and red balls. We never missed out on the fragile ornaments though, because those are now on the other tree. The other tree is downstairs and it is much smaller. It's located in a corner where the trash can used to be and is settled on an end table. For the past 3 Christmases, our presents were downstairs which was a very different feeling for us. It's much colder downstairs and there aren't any windows down there, so we only relied on the ceiling lights. Although it was different, it still was a great time. Now, my little sister is 3 years old and we are now bringing back the tradition of putting our presents under the living room tree. And I am very excited to return to that tradition.
